By the end of this learning module, you will be able to:

• Describe meaningful and authentic consumer involvement in research.
• Outline the steps involved in the research 
• Recognise different levels of involvement that exist for consumers in research
• Recognise skills and attributes required as a research team member

Module Schedule:

Each topic includes information to read, videos to watch, targeted questions for self-reflection and knowledge checking in the form of a short quiz. Most of the topics will take about one and a half hours to complete. It is recommended that you work through all of the content included in each topic.

Certificates of achievement in a specific area of study of professional development are sometimes called micro-credentials. They are provided electronically, as a digital badge. The digital badge is a record of your achievement that you can share with others as evidence about what you have learned. You might like to share them with peers, employers, or researchers. 

You may be eligible to receive a continuing professional development digital badge called “Partnering with consumers in research” module. To be eligible, you must complete ALL the quizzes that are included in all of the topics and achieve 80%. 

You can still do this module for your interest without doing the quizzes, but you will not receive the digital badge.

Please note that you will not be able to use the digital badge as credit for any other education course that you may be interested in at Griffith University.

1. When completing each learning module, be mindful that there is no functionality to save your progress, so it is best practice to complete the quiz in one sitting.
2. Once you "submit" your quiz, you will get a copy of this.
3. You can complete the quizzes as many times as you like to ensure you achieve the 80% score required.

We expect each module will take you 1 to 2 hours to work through.  If you prefer to work in shorter sessions, we have indicated some opportunities for breaks throughout each of the modules.
