The Queensland Disability Research Network (QDRN) is driving transformative change through five major game changers that set a new standard for disability research in Queensland.



QDRN's 5 Major Game Changers


  1. Inclusive Representation: Ensure all key stakeholders are represented, with cross-institutional and cross-sectoral collaboration at the core.

  2. Authentic Co-Design: Embed meaningful co-design throughout the entire research process—from scoping and development to translation and dissemination.

  3. Aligned Research Agenda: Develop a QDRN research agenda that is closely aligned with and informed by Queensland’s Disability Plan and Australia’s Disability Strategy.

  4. Unified Queensland Voice: Advocate for a unified Queensland disability research voice that reflects the state’s unique geographical considerations.

  5. Sustainable Impact: Foster a genuine commitment to improving the economic and social participation of people with disability through long-term, sustainable, and collaborative research relationships, with a focus on capacity building and both current and future priorities.
