We want to understand the employment experiences of people with disability in Queensland and how to create more meaningful employment. Specifically, the research aims to:

  • Investigate employment experiences for people with disability in Queensland.
  • Explore employment and work aspirations, including preferred career pathways and employment arrangements.
  • Explore job satisfaction for those who have or have previously had employment and the drivers for satisfaction or dissatisfaction, challenges to job satisfaction and success in employment.
  • Identify how the experience and outcomes can be improved.

You can now participate in this project if you are a Queenslander with disability. There are various ways you can participate: You could fill in a survey and answer some questions about yourself and your employment experiences (SEE BELOW FOR THE SURVEY); or you could record an audio or video file where you tell us about your experiences. If you are doing an interview with one of our citizen scientists, you may only need to complete the demographic part of the survey (the first part).
