Get Involved Person with a Disability

Stage 1 of the research starts by building knowledge of transport equity in Australia with diverse people with disabilities and transport planners.

Stage 1 builds knowledge by learning from diverse people with disabilities:

  • Current experiences about using transport including what’s good, what’s bad and trips not made.
  • Future Planning ideas and vision. Like what transport planners need to know about equity for diverse people with disabilities to help plan future transport.

You can get involved if you are:

  • A person with a disability, disabled person, deaf person, neurodivergent person, person with chronic illness.
  • Aged 12 years or old living in Australia
  • And Interested in the planning of active and public transport:
    • public transport – bus, train, tram, ferry, light rail
    • active transport - moving from place to place by walking, wheeling, rolling, pushing, riding?

If under 18, you need your parent/kin/appointed guardian ok first!

What can I do? Three ways

  • Do an online anonymous questionnaire if you are 18 years and older. The questionnaire asks a number of questions. You can also upload photo or file to show what helps or is a barrier.
    Or
  • Do a 6-question easy read storyboard for any one 12 years and older. You can select, write or use photos to show your answer.
    Or
  • Have a 30 min one on one chat with Lisa on phone or online. This is for any one with disability 12 years and older.
